CamperNation expands caravan awnings lineup with size guides from 4 to 22

CamperNation is selling caravan awnings across sizes 4 to 22, backed by make-specific fitting guides for UK caravans and phone support before purchase. The London retailer says the added sizing help is meant to reduce mismatches, returns and wasted time for buyers.

Why it matters: - Caravan awnings are easy to buy in the wrong size, and that mistake can make an awning unusable on a different caravan. - CamperNation is trying to reduce that risk with size charts, fitting guides and phone support before purchase. - The retailer also pairs the guidance with free UK delivery, a 100-day returns window and a price match guarantee.

What happened: - CamperNation says it now lists caravan awnings across sizes 4 to 22. - The range includes full, porch, air, seasonal and touring awnings. - The lineup includes both inflatable and poled caravan awnings. - Brands stocked include Dorema, Camptech, Sunncamp, Walker, Starcamp, Thule, Dometic, Vango, Westfield, Outdoor Revolution, Trigano and OLPRO. - CamperNation also sells factory clearance and second-hand awnings for budget-conscious buyers.

The details: - Caravan awning size is measured around the outside of the caravan, from one end of the awning rail to the other. - That measurement is not based on the caravan model name. - The size can vary by manufacturer and between model years. - CamperNation publishes an awning size chart covering every size from 4 to 22. - The retailer also offers make-specific fitting guides for Swift, Bailey, Elddis, Lunar, Coachman, Hobby, Eriba, Adria, Buccaneer and Trigano caravans. - Those guides come from a library of more than 90 awning articles. - Customers can call 020 8064 2643 for advice before buying. - Phil McEleney said most people do not know their awning size and do not need to, because the measurement changes by manufacturer and model year. - McEleney said CamperNation would rather spend 10 minutes on the phone helping a customer confirm the size than have the customer discover a mismatch in spring. - CamperNation offers free UK delivery. - CamperNation allows returns within 100 days. - Returned items must be unused and in original packaging. - The customer pays return postage unless the item is faulty or supplied incorrectly. - As an authorised dealer, CamperNation says its products carry valid manufacturer warranties of at least 12 months. - Vango and Dometic products include two-year cover. - CamperNation will match or beat a lower total online price once shipping and taxes are included.

Between the lines: - The focus on sizing support suggests the retailer is trying to turn a common purchase pain point into a service advantage. - The long returns window and warranty terms may matter more to awning buyers than low upfront pricing, because fit is hard to confirm from a model name alone. - The mix of new, clearance and second-hand stock points to a wider bid to serve both premium buyers and shoppers working to a tighter budget.

What's next: - CamperNation is likely to keep using sizing guides and direct phone support as part of the sales process. - Buyers who are unsure about fit can use the chart, the make-specific guides or the telephone line before ordering. - The retailer continues to sell online across the UK from London under the CamperNation trading name of PJMC Group Ltd.
